The Irish Wrestling team won their 3rd straight state championship by scoring 102 points overall. Zeke Selter (120) and Holden Parson (285) won individual state championships as well! Eight Irish wrestlers advanced to the state meet with three advancing to the championship match.
The Irish ran away with the team competition defeating second place Crown Point by 8.5 points. Third place Evansville Mater Dei finished with 85 points.
This is the 3rd straight title for Cathedral and fourth overall (2019, 2018, 2014).
The Irish wrestling team won the New Castle semi-state and advanced eight wrestlers to the state championship meet! The Irish scored 150 points while second place Warren Central had 94.5.
The state finals will be held at Bankers Life Field House on Friday and Saturday (February 21-22). More info and match times can be found on the IHSAA Wrestling website.

Congratulations to the Wrestling team on being named the IHSAA State Champions Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse! This marks back-to-back state titles for Head Coach Sean McGinley. Individual champions were Elliott Rodgers at 152 and Jordan Slivka at 160. Zeke Seltzer and Alex Mosconi took home second place finishes at 113 and 145, respectively. The 81st Annual IHSAA Wrestling State Finals will be held this weekend, Feb. 15-16 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
