Boys Soccer avenged a 1-0 loss on Saturday to Ft. Wayne Carroll with a resounding 8-1 win over Columbus North on Tuesday, to bring their season record to 2-1.
The response and contributions came from several players and Coledon Johnson's crafty style of play led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists. Junior Matt Welch scored 2 goals playing the outside midfield position, Jacob Schneider had 1 goal and 2 assists from the other side of the midfield, Sean Callaghan and Quinn Leous each contributed a goal and assist and Nick Victor accounted for the final tally. Nate Schoenfeld, Michael Tsueda and Nate Griffin had 1 assist each. During an inspiring 2nd half effort, in which the Irish exploded for 6 goals, the 2-1 halftime lead quickly became out of reach for Columbus North.
