Cathedral volleyball went on the road Thursday, September 24, to Yorktown. The JV and Varsity Irish squads were both in action against the Tigers.
In the Varsity match the Irish were outgunned by the Tigers in three sets. The loss marked only the second time this season that the Irish were defeated in straight sets. With the match loss (8-25, 9-25, 12-25) the Irish drop to 7-9 on the season
In the first match of the evening, the JV Irish fell by scores of 18-25 and 15-25 to the JV Tigers. The match loss (18-25, 15-25) is just the second on the year for the JV Irish, breaking their streak of 13 wins in a row and putting the JV Irish at 14-2 on the season.
The Freshman Irish also took to the road on Thursday, September 24, as they traveled to Covenant Christian to take on the Warriors. The Freshman Irish secured a win on the Warriors home court and moved to 9-1 on the season.
Cathedral plays at Carmel on Tuesday, September 29, with the Freshman and Varsity squads in action. Freshman match begins at 5:30PM and the Varsity match begins at 7:00P M.
