After a canceled
scrimmage against North Central, the girls tennis team will officially begin their season on Wednesday, April 10 against Guerin Catholic at home. Head Coach Mark Noe is entering his 17th season with the team.
The team is composed of nine players, led by team captain, Claire Koscielski.
The Irish are among the top five programs in the state and were named 2016 State Champions. They have also finished as state runners-up twice since 2012. In school history, the girls tennis team holds two State Championship titles.
Meghan Coleman and Claire Koscielski will return for their junior and senior seasons, respectively, after an undefeated 2018 season and being named Doubles State Champions. Behind these two successful veterans, Coach Noe has very high hopes and praise for the upcoming season.
This year, girls tennis will compete in 14 regular season matches before Sectionals begin on Tuesday, May 14.
