Boys Soccer recorded a solid 2-0 road win against an always tough opponent in Covenant Christian on Tuesday night. Lightning struck twice quick in the first half when Andrew Darling found Sean Callaghan, who ripped a left-footed shot past the keeper and just inside the near-post to put the Irish up 1-0. Less than 5 minutes later, Coledon Johnson slipped a throw-in from Nathan Schoenfeld over a defender, spun away and tracked it down in time to pop it over the goalies head and into the empty net for what would be the final goal of the night.
The Irish defense was solid once again and Nik Kolosso recorded his 2nd shutout of this early campaign.
Next up for the Irish is another road game at Zionsville on Thursday, September 30th at 5:30 (JV) and 7:00 (V).
