The Indiana High School Athletic Association has drawn the pairings for its 46th annual football state tournament. Cathedral will host Plainfield in the first round of the Class 5-A state tournament on Friday, October 19th. Both teams have 4-4 records entering the final week of the regular season. The Irish are 6-1 all-time against the Quakers in tournament play.
Cathedral has won 57 of its last 62 tournament outings and twelve consecutive sectional titles. The Irish have won 33 straight sectional games dating back a 16-12 defeat at Roncalli on November 4, 2005.
