Boys Basketball Finishes Season

The Boys Basketball team concluded the season on a tough note after being defeated by the Lawrence North Wildcats in the IHSAA Sectional 10 match-up Tuesday night, 65-59.  Senior guard and Indiana University signee, Armaan Franklin, led the team in scoring with 30 points.    The Fighting Irish accomplished many things this season, including being named City Champions for a third straight year and finishing with an impressive record of 18 wins and six losses.  Head Coach Jason Delaney will graduate six seniors this year.  &...

 
Boys Basketball Earns City Honors
 on February 25, 2019

Congratulations to Coach Jason Delaney, Armaan Franklin and James Franklin as they earned City recognitions!  Coach Delaney and Armaan Franklin were named Coach and Player of the Year, respectively, and James Franklin was named to the 2nd Team All-City.  The team will travel to Lawrence North High School on Feb. 26 at 7:30 PM in hopes of keeping the season alive.  

 
Boys Basketball Sectional

IHSAA Boys Sectional 10 season passes are available in the Athletic office during school hours now through next Tuesday afternoon.  Season passes are $10 and are good for all three nights.

Irish Boys play on Tuesday 2/26 at 7:30 - All fans are asked to enter through Door #7 at Lawrence North HS.
 


 
Ross Welch Named to All-Academic Team

Ross Welch '19 was named to the Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance All-Academic Team at the Really Big Basketball Show at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The senior has a 4.36 cumulative GPA and has made High Honors 4 straight semesters.

The disappointment was as real as the future is bright. That’s how Jason Delaney saw the 2017-2018 Cathedral High School boys basketball season – as one that was full of accomplishment and hope, and equally full of disappointment at the end. Coliseum Class - Februrary 1, 2018

On Thursday, February 1, 2018 the Cathedral’s Boys Basketball team will be part of the Coliseum Classic at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

The night starts at 5:30 when rivals Roncalli and Chatard collide. Game two pits Cathedral against Franklin Central and then the night concludes when Pike battles Decatur Central.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at each school. Tickets can also be purchased at the State Fairgrounds ticket office and at Ticketmaster. Tickets are good for all three games.
