Mark Noe Named ICGSA Girls Tennis Coach of the Year

Congratulations to girls tennis head coach Mark Noe on being named the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Assocciation (ICGSA) Tennis Coach of the Year. Noe was also named District 3 Coach of the Year and will coach in the North/South All-Star game.

Noe coached the Lady Irish tennis team to a state championship defeating Park Tudor 3-2. Noe also helped Elle Pittman '21 win the individual state title.

Ellie Pittman '21 Wins Tennis Single State Championship

Ellie Pittman '21 won the IHSAA Individual State Championship, her second state championship in two weeks!  Pittman defeated Anna Graves of Silver Creek 6-0, 6-0 to win the second girls individual state title in Cathedral history. In the semifinals Pittman defeated Ellie Myers from Evansville Memorial 6-3, 6-1 and she defeated Halli Trinkle from Providence 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round. Season Preview
 on March 29, 2019

After a canceled scrimmage against North Central, the girls tennis team will officially begin their season on Wednesday, April 10 against Guerin Catholic at home.  Head Coach Mark Noe is entering his 17th season with the team. The team is composed of nine players, led by team captain, Claire Koscielski.   The Irish are among the top five programs in the state and were named 2016 State Champions.  They have also finished as state runners-up twice since 2012.  In school history, the girls tennis team holds two State...

Cathedral Lady Irish Tennis standout Claire Koscielski  is University of Cincinnati Bound
 on November 05, 2018

Senior Claire Koscielski will be playing college tennis for the University of Cincinnati Lady Bearcats next fall. Claire is a standout and was an intricate part of the 2016 state championship team and 2018 team finalist.

In 2018, Claire and Meg Coleman won the 2018 Indiana State doubles championships without dropping a set during their great run.
