Progress was made, and fun was had.
That’s a good combination, and that was an overriding theme for Cathedral High School bowling in 2019-2020.
“We had a very good season,” Irish bowling coach Mark Noe said.
Irish bowling, as has been the case in recent seasons, had stronger numbers in the boys program than the girls program in 2019-20 – but Noe said both teams improved through a season that featured a fifth-place finish in the sectional tournament for a boys program that was strong through much of the season.
Great job Irish Boys bowling. They defeated a very tough Brebeuf team 12-7. After falling in the first game by 10 pins, the Irish took it up a notch and defeated Brebeuf by over 200 oins in the second game.

Nick Rodecap, Ayden Alerding and Charlie Schenck led the team with high scores and helped team to a major come-back after the first game loss by ten pins.

All in all, Josh Payne liked the results.
"Overall, it was a pretty good season,” Payne said.
Payne, the head coach of the Cathedral High School bowling team, said there were multiple reasons that was true for the program in 2018-2019.
