Progress was made, and fun was had.
That’s a good combination, and that was an overriding theme for Cathedral High School bowling in 2019-2020.
“We had a very good season,” Irish bowling coach Mark Noe said.
Irish bowling, as has been the case in recent seasons, had stronger numbers in the boys program than the girls program in 2019-20 – but Noe said both teams improved through a season that featured a fifth-place finish in the sectional tournament for a boys program that was strong through much of the season.

“I think it went well,” Finn said. “When you look at the season in terms of wins and losses &hel...

As longtime Cathedral High School wrestling coach Sean McGinley will tell you, that guarantees nothing. But it gives the Irish a chance for another special season.

The goals around Cathedral High School girls basketball are simple. They’re lofty, too.
So, while first-year head coach Lisa Finn wants the Irish to build a foundation for the future, she and the program are thinking about short-term objectives, too.
“At the beginning, our goals were in a certain spot, but as we continue to have success we say, ‘Guys, why not us?’’’ Finn said. “This year is a year it could be anyone.”
The Irish, a season after finishing under .500, have started 2019-2020 strong. Th...
