The Fighting Irish boys volleyball team captured the regional title and advanced to the semi-state matchup against Fishers. Cathedral defeated Bishop Noll 3-0 (25-8, 25-11, 25-18). Gavin Weed led the way with 10 kills and Ryan Peterson followed up with 9 kills. Cathedral then defeated Westfield 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-20) to clinch their spot in semi-state. Nick Whitley distributed 32 assists with Lincoln Hieser recording 10 kills. Brayden Moyars recorded 11 digs.

The Irish will face Fishers at 2:00pm at Lafayette Jeff. With a win the Irish will advance to the state championship at 6:30pm.
