The Irish look to build off last season’s run to the Regional finals with a young, talented team. Returning senior Josh Wesseling will lead the offense. Wesseling a 2nd team all-state player in 2021 led the Irish scoring with 17 goals and 7 assists. Junior Belachew Neal and sophomore Cal Kurzawa are players to watch on the attack. Defensively, the Irish return senior Jack Lefebvre and sophomore Jett Wallmeier in goal. Lefebvre and Wallmeier combined for a 0.95 goals against during the 2021 campaign. Juniors Emmett Hern and Adrian Reveles will lead the defense. Newcomers Quinn Bateman and Jordan Wedges are exciting players to watch. The Irish must navigate a difficult regular season schedule with games at perennial top ranked Hamilton Southeastern, Columbus North, North Central and Greenfield Central and home games against Carmel, Brownsburg and Brebeuf.
