The injured plagued Irish took on Detroit Country Day School and come up short 1-0 on a late penalty kick. The Irish were down 5 players due to injury and called up 6 players from JV Blue to counter the player shortage. Midway through the first half, senior captain Ayrton Graziano nearly put the Irish on the board with a great free kick from outside the penalty area only to be denied by the Yellowjacket GK. The Irish had a header from junior defender Emmett Hern go wide in the close seconds of the game. The Irish next travel to north side rival Guerin Catholic on Tuesday.
