The Irish opened their home schedule with a 1-1 tie to Carroll (Ft. Wayne). In a weather shortened game, the Irish attack was led by senior captain Josh Wesseling and sophomore Cal Kurzawa with Wesseling assisting on the Kurzawa goal. Senior captain Ayrton Graziano had 2 goals called back due to off-sides. The Irish defense remained stingy allowing only 3 shots on goal. Hats off to Carroll #10 Brayden Macy for a “Goal of the Year” contender full volley bomb from outside the 18 – it was a fun goal to see. The Irish travel to Bishop Chatard on Tuesday for the fan favorite cross-town rivalry game.
