Your #1 City tournament seeded Irish hosted Scecina in a City quarterfinal match up. From the opening whistle, the Irish offense exploded over the Crusaders scoring 12 goals in the opening half. The Irish scoring included sophomore forward Calvin Kurzawa with 4 goals and 2 assists, senior forward Cayler Johnson with 3 goals and 1 assist, freshman midfielder Quinn Bateman with 2 goals and 1 assist, junior midfielder Landon Korous with 1 goal and his first for the Irish, senior captain Josh Wesseling with 1 goal and 2 assists, and freshman Alden Chan with 1 goal and his first for the Irish. Assists were provided by junior Belachew Neal – 2, junior midfielder Liam Fahey – 2, and freshman midfielder Jordan Wedges – 1. The Irish move on to play Covenant Christian in the City semis on Monday.
