Senior Softball Spotlight

To know her is to love her, GRACE LORSUNG epitomizes Cathedral’s Portrait of a Graduate. Grace received the 2019 Johnny Bench Award for Indiana. Her favorite verse: “She is colored with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

A rare phenomenon in today’s society, MIA DITTOE... a 2-sport varsity athlete! Whether on the VB court or SB field, she regularly makes big plays to swing momentum in favor of the Irish. Mia states “I wish so badly we could be playing right now!”

HANNAH MILLER is the consummate team player - always going the extra mile and the first to lend a helping hand! It’s no wonder she
aspires to be a nurse as she lives by the same values of Mother Theresa, “Do ordinary things with extraordinary love!”

Calm and cool under pressure - whether laying down a suicide squeeze bunt or coming up with a pick at 1st, EMILY VEIGEL
always puts the team first! Emily’s favorite quote: “Change the world by being yourself.” As a future nurse, she’ll continue her dedication to caring for others.

A 3 time All-City selection & WTP state champ, ANNIKA GARWOOD! Annika’s motto: “Fall seven times, stand up eight. Whether sitting out due to injury or being upset about WTP Nationals cancellation, I push through every obstacle and end up better on the other side.”

She lives by the motto ”I can and I will” which was never more evident than when she took the mound and led us to a 2019 Regional Championship against Mt. Vernon!
