Irish Netters Defeat Avon 5-0 in Varsity Action/JV defeats Avon -100 players play!!
The Cathedral Irish boys tennis team started the season in fine fashion by defeating a very tough Avon squad 5-0.

We were led by senior number one player Levi Wojtalik -Wojtalik played some good tennis and was able to overcome a very fiesty and aggressive player. 6-2, 6-3.

The match of the day was Isaac Michael at number 2 singles position winning a three set grind 6-3, 6-7, 6-3. 

At three singles, Andrew Davey got out of the gate quick and took a 6-2 6-4 victory with some solid approach and volley game-Well done

At one doubles, senior Alex Pohl and sophmore Sam Black played very aggressive team that never quit. Due to the great hands and serves of Black and Pohl , Avon succumed in straight sets. 6-3, 6-4-Excellent win!

At two doubles, Senior Eli Carroll and Junior Fisher Van Rooy played a very tough team that was ultra aggressive. The boys kept their composure and won 6-1, 1-6, 6-3. Great playing guys.
